In June 1810, Susannah, daughter of Joshua Walker of Rotherham, and grand-daughter of Jedediah Strutt’s business partners Samuel Need, married Jedediah Strutt II, the grandson of the pioneering first Jedidiah. That year, they built Green Hall on King Street, where they lived for the rest of their lives. Sadly, for Susannah that wasn’t very long – she was just 36 when she died.
